The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit is reporting six new cases of COVID-19.
Five of the cases are in the Nipissing District.
One case involves travel, three are due to close contact and the other two are still under investigation.
Prior to Friday, the region had only seen four cases of the virus reported in the previous seven days.
There are now eight active cases of the virus in our region, seven of which are in the Nipissing District.
