Nipissing-Timiskaming MP Jay Aspin is encouraging area residents to apply for the Universal Child Care Benefit.
Aspin says the deadline has been extended to May 15th, and that families could be eligible for a good chunk of cash. Children up to 5 will receive from 100-to-160 dollars a month, and families with children up to 17 will receive a benefit of 60-dollars a month.
Visit canada.ca/taxsavings to register for the benefit. The new grant is designed to help families find that balance of work and family life in Canada.
