Recycling in West Nipissing has never been easier.
The municipality officially launched Recycle Coach today, its new mobile and web app that places West Nipissing waste and recycling programs at residents’ fingertips.
The app answers common recycling questions, as well as helps, keep track of their collection schedules. It also will give reminders, and service notifications.
Kimberly Cuillerier, Communications Officer at the municipality, says they’re hoping more people use the app so it can shine.
“The more people who use it, the better it’s going to be. The app enables us to send notifications to routes if say a truck breaks down, or there are last-minute changes. They’ll get those notifications in real-time with the app,” she said.
It can also help manage and correctly dispose of waste and recycling with its “What Goes Where” search tool. The tool provides local disposal information and collection requirements for more than 10 000 items.
