Women between 50 and 74 years old are asked to drop into West Nipissing General Hospital today for a Mammogram. They are hosting their annual Mammo-Rama challenge, and women can receive a screening between 8 AM and 8 PM today with no appointment. Carole Philip-Shillington is Medical Radiation Technologist at West Nipissing General Hospital and says early detection is the key to beating the disease. In 2013, it was estimated that over 9-thousand Ontario woman would be diagnosed with breast cancer.
