Nipissing University outbreak adds two more cases
The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit is reporting two new positive cases of COVID-19 in the area.
The two cases are part of the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak at Nipissing University, which has now affected 16 people. Not all of the cases are still active.
Currently in the Nipissing District, there are 11 active cases of COVID-19.
One case is in a person between the ages of 40 and 59 and is the result of community spread. The other is between 20 and 39 and is the result of close contact. Both are self-isolating.
There have now been 76 cases of COVID-19 in the Health Unit’s region since the beginning of the pandemic, resulting in one death.
