A 67-year-old from Alban has been charged under the quarantine act.
Nipissing West OPP says the man returned to Canada from Jamaica on November 1, but was not following the mandatory two-week quarantine when he returned to Canada.
The accused was issued a fine of $1,255.
Police say that when re-entering Canada from another country, individuals are ordered to quarantine for 14 days. A plan outlining the quarantine is first established with Canada Border Services, and the OPP supports the process by conducting compliance checks.
