Nipissing West OPP is reporting that 58 traffic-related charges were issued over the Thanksgiving weekend.
The OPP along with other Canadian police partners participated in “Operation Impact”.
The operation is an annual safety initiative that sees police agencies target four main behaviours that they say causes significant deaths on Ontario’s roads.
Those behaviours are impaired driving, distracted driving, speeding as well as failure to wear seat belts.Â
In total, 45 speeding, 10 moving violations, two impaired charges were laid as well as one stunt driving charge.
