The North Bay Mattawa Conservation Authority is warning residents that the watershed south of Highway 17 will have rising water levels this weekend.
Temperatures are beginning to climb, which will melt some of that remaining snow.
Municipalities are reminded to monitor water crossings and conditions as they develop.
They also remind all people that slippery shorelines combined with cold open water pose a serious risk.
Parents are encouraged to keep their kids and pets away from watercourses at this time.
This message will remain in effect until Monday, at 1 PM.
