A multi-million dollar lawsuit involving the collapse of the Algo Centre Mall in Elliot Lake has been given the go ahead by an Ontario judge. The suit seeks $120-million in damages for shop owners of the former mall, workers and shoppers in the building when the roof-top parking lot partially collapsed in 2012. The suit names several groups including the current and former owners of the mall and the City of Elliot Lake. This lawsuit is separate from another claim launched by the families of the two women who died when the roof caved-in.
