At around 4 am on August 23, OPP officers responded to an alarm at a business located on Nipissing Street in Sturgeon Falls.
Upon arrival at the scene, the officers discovered an opened window with a damaged screen.
Video surveillance footage was reviewed and the investigation revealed a culprit who is known to police.
The accused was scared-off by the alarm and he attempted to gain entry and fled on a bicycle.
Further investigation revealed that the bicycle was stolen.
The next day, while on patrol, police observed the accused riding a bicycle on Front St. in Sturgeon Falls and arrested him.
He was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in Sturgeon Falls Court on October 1.
