The Nipissing West OPP (OPP) is reporting that on July 6, members of the OPP began an investigation into a historical domestic assault incident that occurred in June of 2020, in the municipality of West Nipissing.
As a result of the investigation, a 25-year-old person from Sturgeon Falls was arrested and charged with
Assault – Spousal, contrary to section 266 of the Criminal Code (CC)
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Sturgeon Falls court on September 3, 2020.
OPP is also reporting that at 5:40 pm on July 2, the OPP began another investigation into a historical domestic dispute which occurred in November 2019, and July 2020, in the Municipality of St. Charles.
As a result, a 35-year-old person, from Sudbury, has been arrested and charged with
Assault – Spousal, contrary to section 266 of the Criminal Code (CC); and
Mischief – Domestic, contrary to section 430(4) of the CC.
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Sudbury court on September 4, 2020.
