OPP share Canada Day Initiative stats

From June 27 until July 5, Members of the Nipissing West Detachment and the Sudbury Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) team of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) participated in a Canada Day traffic initiative.

Officers were out and about keeping their communities, highways, waterways and trails safe all while focussing on their “big four” offences which included: alcohol/drug impaired driving, speeding, distracted driving and lack of occupant restraint.

The OPP also put a spotlight on various lifesaving equipment including seatbelts, personal flotation devices as well as helmets for off-road vehicles and bicycles.
