Ontario adds 170 new cases of COVID-19

Ontario is reporting 170 new cases of COVID-19.

Deputy Premier and Health Minister Christine Elliott tweeted Thursday morning that 86 of the new cases are in Windsor-Essex where targetted testing of temporary workers on farms continues.

She notes 30 of Ontario’s 34 PHUs are reporting five or fewer cases, with 20 of them reporting no new cases.

On Wednesday, Ontario processed over 26,000 tests and she says Ontario continues to lead the country in daily testing.

Elliott adds hospitalizations, ICU admissions, and vented patients are stable or have decreased.
