OPP: Sturgeon Falls resident charged after making threats
Nipissing West OPP is reporting charges against a Sturgeon Falls resident after an incident in West Nipissing.
Police say they were called to a home on Front Street after a report of someone threatening another person. An investigation showed the accused had threatened the victim with a weapon and left the scene.
Shortly after, police found the 20-year-old, arrested them and seized the weapon. The accused has been charged with:
- Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
Officers say the 20-year-old has been released. They will appear before court in Sturgeon Falls on August 6 to answer to their charges.
