The Nipissing West says they have taken $68,180 worth of drugs off the streets thanks to a recent bust.
Officials say the drugs seized are believed to be fentanyl and cocaine. They also seized drug paraphernalia and $2,000 in cash.
Police say they executed a search warrant at a home on Railway Street in West Nipissing (Sturgeon Falls) and three people from the town are now facing charges.
Officers say a 34-year-old and 29-year-old has been charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Opioid (other than heroin)
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
Police add a 31-year-old has been charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Opioid (other than heroin)
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
- Failure to Comply with Release Order – Other than to Attend Court
The 34-year-old and 29-year-old have been released. Police say they will appear before court on September 3rd. Meanwhile, the 31-year-old remains in custody pending a bail hearing on Thursday.
