Gravelle questions why Ring of Fire not mentioned in federal budget

The MP from Nickel Belt is surprised that Tuesday’s budget makes no mention of the Ring of Fire.  Claude Gravelle and other New Democrats visited the site last week.  In the past the federal government has touted the huge mining development as a 60 to 100 year project.  But Gravelle says people at the site say it’s much bigger and mining could last as much as 200 years at the James Bay site.  Gravelle doesn’t believe the feds are backing away from supporting the Ring of Fire.  Rather he thinks they could be saving news for next year in time for the next federal election.  Also not mentioned is FedNor.  Gravelle believes FedNor will be a major player to help develop the Ring of Fire.
