The West Nipissing Chamber of Commerce has announced that Feast on the Farm 2020 has been cancelled.
This year would have marked the seventh annual running of the event and it was to be held on August 9.
“Although the news of our region being allowed to move to stage two of the provincial lockdown as of Friday, June 12 is very good news to our local businesses, it still does not give us the go-ahead we need to be allowed to plan and hold our sell-out event in August,” Chamber officials said. “Therefore, we regret to announce that the Chamber along with our partner Leisure Farms, have had to make the difficult decision of officially announcing the cancellation of Feast on the Farm 2020.”
“Although we remain optimistic that the region will continue to move forward to subsequent stages of the lockdown, we do not know when the next stage will be announced and we feel that to try to rush the event would be a bad decision,” officials added.
