West Nipissing reopens some public spaces

The Municipality of West Nipissing has announced some more public spaces that are opening.

Municipal officials say while reopening some of these spaces are good news, the provincial emergency orders remain in place prohibiting the gathering of more than five people outside of your household. This rule applies to all public use of outdoor facilities.

Access to outdoor parks and facilities is permitted for use with non-contact activities such as walking, running or biking through. Tennis courts and multi-use fields have been reopened as well. The restrictions on those fields, however, are for unorganized casual use.

When it comes to sports equipment, try to use your own and avoid using other people’s equipment.

Municipal officials say that the provincial orders remain in effect that prohibits the use of beaches, public washrooms, playgrounds, and splash pads.
