22 Wing commander prepares for Iraq mission

April 7th is the second last day that Colonel Sean Boyle remains in command of 22 Wing in North Bay.  Boyle will soon leave for Iraq to head the Canadian contingent of the Air Task Force on the war on terrorism.  And Boyle is very clear on his goal once in the Middle East.     Boyle says to date ISIL forces have been reduced by 25 percent.   However many of the terrorists have moved in Syria.  Boyle says this is why it’s significant that the mission has been expanded to include Syria so that the allied forces can take the fight to the enemy.   Officially replacing Boyle on April 8th is Colonel Henrik Smith who is Canada’s the chief of staff at NORAD in Colorado Springs.
