West Nipissing first responders want to be prepared if there’s ever a large scale emergency. That’s why this week a mock emergency exercise was carried out in the municipality. Crews acted as if there was a shooting in Town Hall, and a serious fire at the public library. Police Service Inspector Ray St-Pierre says it was a success, and that they were able to identify strong and weak points. Inspector St-Pierre also suggests families have their own emergency plans in place if there is ever something like a break in or fire.
