A deer hunter is looking at a $2,000 after illegally killing a deer near North Bay in East Ferris. Richard Murray of Mattawa killed a deer with a crossbow but he did it on the front lawn of someone’s home without permission. The court was told there was also no consideration for people or property in the course of Murray carrying out his kill. Murray also lost his deer hunting license and has to complete a safety course before he can re-apply for hunting-related activities.
