Local business making masks for donations

A local business is helping out frontline workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Stitch N’ Love is making masks and donating them to Dr. Desjardins and more in the community.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help cover the costs of materials with a goal of $1,000.

“We are raising money to purchase supplies so we can continue our mission. We are making masks, caps and any other medical supplies needed for our local hospital, and other Health care organizations in West Nipissing,” Stitch N’ Love says on the page. “We are also asking for donations of Quilting cotton, elastic, wire, thread, sewing needles.”

There are also masks available for purchase, with the proceeds going towards materials for the donation masks.

“The purchased masks we have done helped me buy more supplies and the ability to donate them,” said Sarah Pitre from Stitch N’ Love. “Elderly low income and the food bank. So far we have donated 100 masks.”

For anyone interested in donating, call Sarah at 705-303-2400.
