Ricci: Lumberjacks staying in Sturgeon

The President, GM and coach of the Sturgeon Falls Lumberjacks say there’s no truth to rumours that the Jacks are leaving the community.  Lui Ricci was responding to rumours that the club has been sold and will leave Sturgeon Falls at the end of the current hockey season.   Ricci has also heard the rumours the past few weeks and is nipping matters in the bud.  Ricci says the Lumberjacks are staying in Sturgeon Falls and the team’s ownership remains unchanged.  However Ricci does admit there may be one change with the club next year and it involves him.  Ricci may step down as coach after coaching teams for 38 years saying it’s time for someone else to take over.  However Ricci fully expects to stay on as the Lumberjacks’ President and General Manager.
