Early morning collision results in charges for West Nipissing resident

An early morning vehicle collision has resulted in charges for a West Nipissing resident.

Shortly before 2:00 a.m. on Saturday, Nipissing West OPP responded to the collision at the intersection of Highway 17 and Levac Road in the municipality of West Nipissing. Police say the accused’s SUV drove into the path of a westbound car, which was unable to avoid the collision.

Officials say none of the occupants were injured.

The 19-year-old has been charged with:

  • Take Motor Vehicle Without Consent
  • Fail to Yield to Traffic on Through Highway
  • Fail to Have Insurance Card

The accused has since been released with a court date set for June 4 in West Nipissing.
