Nipissing West OPP says on Sunday they saw the snowmachine on a trail approach the intersection of Highway 539. Once they stopped the vehicle, they discovered the operator had been consuming alcohol and failed a roadside test.

Further investigation showed the man was not allowed to operate a motorized vehicle.

  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus)
  • Operation While Prohibited Under Criminal Code

Police suspended his licence, and the snowmobile has been impounded for 45 days.
