No sitting down to drink your Timmy’s

There will be no concern about loitering at most Tim Hortons locations across Canada.

In a tweet, Tim Hortons Canada revealed dining rooms will be closed at franchises as of tomorrow due to the COVID-19 situation. Take-out, drive-thru and delivery service (where applicable) will be available.

The Tim Hortons communications team confirmed the measures in an email:

We sent out a notice to our Canadian Tim Hortons restaurant owners asking them to provide take-out, drive-thru and delivery only.

Tim Hortons restaurants are gathering places for our communities across the country. As Canada’s leading restaurant brand, we have a responsibility not only to serve guests – but to protect them during this uncertain time.

Starting tomorrow, March 17, 2020, all Tim Hortons restaurants will focus on take-out, drive-thru and delivery service (where available) and will close all dining room seating until further notice. This is being done to contribute to social distancing that has been called for by public health officials.
