Canadian Forces Museum unveils new exhibit

The Canadian Forces Museum of Aerospace Defence (CFMAD) has unveiled a new exhibit.

Called “Ad Astra: From the Collection of the National Air Force Museum of Canada,” the exhibit features portraits, different generations of military aircraft, along with a variety of military scenes. The collection comes from the National Air Force Museum of Canada, located at 8 Wing/Canadian Forces Base Trenton, and is comprised of about 400 pieces.

CFMAD says the exhibit was whittled down to 19 pieces by staff at both museums. During the collaboration and research, many stories of the artists and their respective works were discovered and are on display alongside the pieces.

The exhibit will be displayed at the museum until May. CFMAD is open every Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., or by appointment and group booking throughout the week. General admission is donation based.
