West Nipissing police are dealing with another domestic assault. This latest one took place in Verner where a woman told police she was assaulted many times by her common-law husband. In the latest incident the man smashed the woman’s laptop and choked her. The woman ran from the home but the husband dragged her back. Police have charged the 30-year-old man with two counts of forcible confinement, assault on a child, spousal assault and firearms storage offenses.
