A Manitoulin OPP officer has found himself in some hot water with the Nipissing West OPP.
Police say early Friday morning they were called to a single-vehicle collision on Highway 17 at Long Lake Road near Sudbury. After performing a roadside test, officers say the driver failed and officers took him to the Greater Sudbury Police Service for further testing.
The 32-year-old has since been charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol or drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
Officers say the accused was off duty at the time and in his eighth year of service. He has a court date scheduled for March 25.
