National Cupcake Day is back once again.
Local businesses will have fresh cupcakes available for purchase or pre-order, with proceeds going toward the North Bay and District Humane Society. National Cupcake Day is February 24, but four local businesses will celebrate it over five days:
- February 22 at Parker’s Independent Grocer
- February 24 at Twiggs Coffee Roasters (Fraser and McKeown)
- February 25 at Orchard’s Fresh Food Market
- February 26 at Chez Jean-Marc Bakery in Sturgeon Falls
Last year, National Cupcake Day raised $380,000 towards animal welfare programs across the country. According to the humane society, since the campaign’s inception, $3.5 million has been raised.
