ONTC expanding service to Thunder Bay

The Ontario Northland Transportation Commission (ONTC) has once again expanded its bus service.

Beginning in April, buses will now service Thunder Bay. Previously, the service had expanded to Espanola, Sault Ste Marie, Wawa, and White River in 2018.

“Our team is excited to provide scheduled bus service to Thunder Bay,” said Tracy MacPhee, Director of Passenger Operations. “We look forward to introducing Ontario Northland’s reliable and friendly service to Northwestern Ontario and connecting more passengers to hospitals and educational institutions as well as Toronto and Ottawa.”

The motorcoach service will operate six days a week with stops including Lakehead University and Thunder Bay Regional Health Services.

Coach Service began in 1937 and features stops in North Bay, Englehart, Cochrane, and Timmins.
