Family Day promises to be an exciting time in West Nipissing.
The municipality says there will be events running throughout the day to keep you and your family busy. Those include family skating from 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Verner and Sturgeon Falls arenas, and a family swim at the Community and Recreation Centre from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Not to be outdone, the museum will host activities from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Those events include free snowshoe and snow kick rentals, hot chocolate and cupcake decorating, and popcorn and a movie starting at 3:30 p.m.
The fitness centre at the Community and Recreation Centre will be open as well from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., but a membership or fee is required as usual.
The municipal office will be closed Monday.
