Friday marks a milestone at Canadore College.
The College’s First Peoples’ Centre and the Canadore Aboriginal Student Association will host the 30th annual Pow Wow, starting at 10:00 a.m. with community teachings at the Village.
The Pow Wow will begin at noon Saturday in the college’s gym. The ceremonies will honour everyone who has been a part of the gathering in the past, including dancers, drummers, elders and veterans. Traditional arts and crafts will also be on display.
The weekend festivities will wrap up with a feast at 5:00 p.m. Saturday in the college’s cafeteria.
