Garbage and recycling pickup has a special schedule for Christmas week and New Year’s week.
For Christmas week, if your regular pickup day is Wednesday, it will be picked up a day before, while Thursday’s pickup will be a day later.
For the week of New Year’s, Tuesday’s run will be picked a day early on Monday, Wednesday’s will be picked up on Tuesday, while Thursday will be pushed back to Friday.
The Sturgeon Falls landfill will be open until 3:00pm on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. It will be closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day, along with New Year’s Day and January 2.
