OPP asking for help identifying gas thief

The Nipissing West detachment of the OPP is seeking the public’s assistance in a theft investigation in St. Charles.

Around midday Friday, officers were alerted to the theft of gas at the St. Charles Food Market and Gas Station on Main Street. The investigation revealed that the suspect pumped $124.57 in gas and left without attempting to pay.

The suspect is described as a woman with long dark hair, wearing a green or beige coat with grey knee-high boots. The vehicle she filled up is described as an older Ford Econoline full-size cargo van that is dark in colour.

The OPP is requesting assistance in identifying the person of interest, or the vehicle in the photos below, which were captured by the store’s surveillance cameras.

This investigation continues.  Anyone with information regarding this theft is urged to contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122 or their nearest police authority.
