Fifty thousand dollars in federal funding has been announced for Innovation Initiatives Ontario North. The organization helps small businesses get off the ground by manufacturing new technologies. The announcement was made by MP Jay Aspin at Canadore College yesterday.
Nipissing University has also gotten a boost from the federal government to host the First Robotics Canada Regional competition. 45-thousand dollars has been given to the University for the Event. It’s expected to bring over 1000 people to North Bay, and will also be used as a recruiting tool for the university.
