Sudbury suffers second homicide of 2019

Greater Sudbury Police Service (GSPS) is investigating the second homicide in a matter of days.

Around 6:00pm yesterday (November 18), officers were called to an address on Melvin Street to check on the well-being of some of the residents.

When police arrived, they found a deceased man within the home. Shortly afterward, the other occupant of the house, a 33-year-old woman was arrested for murder.

The matter remains under investigation. The parties are known to each other and there is no threat to the public.

This represents Sudbury’s second homicide of 2019.
