West Nipissing OPP has arrested two young men in relation to a robbery and assault.
The incident took place last Thursday (November 7) when a 15-year-old male victim made arrangements to purchase a Playstation Four (PS4) from a male known to him.
Once the victim arrived at the predetermined location, he was attacked by two people wearing disguises. A struggle ensued resulting in the victim being struck in the head with a weapon and robbed of his money and cell phone. The assailants fled the scene shortly thereafter.
The victim was taken to the hospital and treated with non-life-threatening injuries.
After an investigation, the next day West Nipissing OPP arrested a 15-year-old male and a 17-year-old male, both from Sturgeon Falls.
The pair has been charged with:
- Robbery with Violence
- Disguise with Intent
- Assault with a Weapon
- Uttering Threats-Cause Death
The two are scheduled to attend a bail hearing in North Bay.
The identity of the young persons charged in this investigation is protected under the authority of the Youth Criminal Justice Act and as such will not be released.
