West Nipissing has a slew of events planned for the Family Day Monday on February 17th. Free skates take place in Sturgeon Falls and Verner plus there’s a family swim in Sturgeon. Cache Bay is the site for a polar bowl, broom ball games and other events. And at Minnehaha Bay there’s a 4 on 4 ball hockey tournament. A variety of mixed ball hockey teams are being formed and to register a team call 753-0160. Something else to keep in mind is that the Ontario government is promoting free fishing throughout the province during Family Day weekend.
