West Nipissing came together to support the Food Bank this week.
“A Can to Lend a Hand” was once again a success according to the food bank.
A total of 17,050 pounds of nonperishable food was donated, as well as $1,200 in monetary donations.
Students from the Franco Nord school board and the neighbouring four French Catholic schools went door to door Wednesday evening. On Thursday, the students formed a human chain and paraded around the community.
A Can to Lend a Hand is the largest most well known annual food drives in West Nipissing, according to Jaqueline Levesque, the Communications Officer for Franco Nord.
