News ATV ride leads to serious injuries SHARE ON: Kortney Kenney, staff Tuesday, Oct. 8th, 2019 A man was airlifted to hospital after a serious ATV accident. (Stock photo) A man who was out for a ride on his All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) ended up with a ride to the hospital. The 56-year-old resident of Monetville was making his own trail through some tall grass when he didn’t see a deep washout and drove into it, causing the vehicle to land on top of him. OPP, Emergency Medical Services, French River Fire Department and Ornge Air Ambulance responded to the call on a trail near Shuswap Road and Lemieux Road in the Municipality of French River near Noelville. An OPP Collision Reconstructionist from the Sudbury Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (T.I.M.E.) Team al attended the scene to assist with the investigation. The man suffered serious life-altering injuries and was airlifted to the hospital.
