There is a lot to tackle on the agenda of this weeks West Nipissing Council meeting, but the big issue is the speed on Dovercourt Road.

The issue was first brought before council in April which led to two stop signs being put up on the road.

Drivers on the street haven’t given the stop signs too much attention according to residents, as speeding is still a frequent occurrence.

The public is asking council to install two signs that read “Residential Only, No through Traffic”, 40 kilometre speed signs in big lettering, and 3 speed humps.

Other items include a proposed licensing agreement for camping trailers and RV’s, a community well being plan, and the reconstruction of Nature’s Trail Bridge.
