WNFS kicks off annual Breast Cancer Awareness campaign

It is officially October which means that the West Nipissing Fire Services will be conducting their annual Breast Cancer Awareness campaign.

The fundraiser features a shirt with a logo designed by Wrightway Sports and costs $20.

“Certain portion of that goes to pay off the shirt, but the rest goes to the West Nipissing General Hospital and it stays here,” Pascal Morin of the WNFS said. “You can purchase it at the West Nipissing Fire Hall at any time. If we don’t have any in stock, we can always order some.”

Everyone who picks up a shirt is asked to wear them on every Friday throughout the month of October and to take group photos to send to 99.3 Moose FM morning host Drew Ferris to post to our Facebook page.

This year’s proceeds will go towards purchasing a new CT scanner at the Hospital.

The t-shirts are available at the West Nipissing Fire Hall, or by calling 1-705-753-1171.

Last year’s total saw the Fire hall raise $15,458.90 for Breast Cancer research.
