Geof Botting, the Director of Education said, “We wish to recognize the effort that our staff and students have put forth and the achievements they have demonstrated. While we still have areas of concern, the information generated from the EQAO assessments will help to inform our next steps at the system, school and classroom level.”

These results are based on the tests taken in the 2018/19 school year.

  • Of first-time eligible writers of the grade 10 Literacy Test, the Board’s test results decreased by 1per cent from the previous year (67 per cent to 66 per cent). Conversely, the province’s results increased 1% from the previous year (79 per cent to 80 per cent).
