Where have they moo-ved to? OPP searching for 100K in escaped cattle

The OPP is seeking the public’s assistance in an investigation in Hagar involving missing livestock.

Sometime between September 6 and September 16, unknown culprit(s) disassembled the gate of a cattle farm located on North Central Road in Hagar.

As a result, 92 cows escaped the property. As of September 19, the farmer reported some of the cattle have returned, but there are still 71 of them missing. They are valued at approximately $100,000.

This investigation is continuing and police are asking anyone with information regarding the person(s) responsible for this mischief or if you see loose cattle in the area, to contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122 or their nearest police authority.

Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or submit information online at Sudbury Crime Stoppers where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
