City asked to consider cable wake park proposal

The city’s CAO will review a wake cable park proposal.  Brent Johnson of Action Sports Entertainment is suggesting the project which would be paid for by private enterprise.  Johnson’s idea has the cable park within the marina so there are no large waves.  Two towers, one on land the other in water, would tow people from one end to the other mimicking sports like water skiing and wake boarding.   Johnson says there would still be room for boaters.   Johnson says the facilities attract tourists and participants and uses Timmins as an example.  The cost to get the project off the ground is about $170,000.
