Visit the IPM, take a locally-crafted keepsake home with you

If you were planning on attending the International Plowing Match, chances are you’ll want to bring a part of it home with you.

“We have quite a few items,” Nicole Lepage, who is Chair of the Souvenir Committee for the IPM teased. Naturally, the items have a local flair to them and can be found in the Souvenir Tent.

“The items were spread out across the community from Noelville, up to Sturgeon Falls, and Verner. The committee decided to look at items from our area like plaid shirts that have been flying off the racks. There is a wooden bottle opener that was made by a local craftsman, Mr. Plante from Lavigne. He took roots from trees, sanded them down, varnished them and used a wood-burning tool to imprint every one with the IPM logo. They are cute, unique and very local.”

There are many items that are up for grabs, such as a lucky strike lure, hats, golf shirts, RCAF related hats and of course the previously mentioned plaid shirts, Lepage’s personal favourite.

The items are only available on-site at the tent, but you can take a look at their selection online here.
