The West Nipissing Food Bank is hosting a “Food Rescue” today from 11:00am-1:00pm.
The food rescue movement involves retailers donating food that is close to being past the sell-by date to food banks.
Via Facebook, Chantal Trudel Falardeau had this to say, “A great big thank you to No Frills for helping us save good produce, dairy, and bread for our Food Rescue. An abundant pick up for us today!”
The Food Bank is open from 11-2 every third Wednesday of the month.
Food Rescue through some local businesses is available every third Wednesday along with every other Friday.
