The snow depth at the Shirley Skinner Conservation Area has set a new record.  The region, which is part of the Wasi River watershed, recorded a snow depth of 59.6 cm the last time measurements took place February 11th.  That beats the old mark set nine years ago by 3.7 cm.           For now our entire region has received more snow than average.  But the North Bay – Mattawa Conservation Authority says it’s way too early to know if the above-average-snowfall will turn into flooding this spring.
