There’s good news for West Nipissing. The municipality is getting a new doctor this summer. Martin Desjardins will open a family practice this August and then in September will work in the emergency department at the West Nipissing General Hospital. Desjardins is currently completing his residency program at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine. Desjardins is a graduate of the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine at McMaster University.
